      • Enjoyed it very much Mike, thanks for the Podcast. I didn’t realize until know how much time and effort you put in writing and totally resonate with he idea that you should focus on producing the type of content you like doing.

        Keep it up man!

        • Yeah it’s VERY time intensive but I’m happy to do it. Thanks!

  • Phil La Mere

    Enjoyed very much, Mike!

You really are one of the FEW fitness experts that personally respond to every question or comment be it email, FB, Twitter, etc. I highly respect you for this level of customer service!

    • Glad to hear it!

Thanks for the support, and I’m happy to stay in touch with everybody. 🙂

  • Wendell Matthews II

Thanks for podcast. Can you provide the names and some books again to look up for reference? Thanks.

  • Fortuné Alexander

    Hey Mike,

    Great pod cast!!

You’re a great writer, and I glad you spent so much time talking about the importance of writing and the fact that it’s hard fucking work and take a lot practice (just like staying in good shape does)!!!

It would be great for you to host some live events on the Blab platform where you can let up to 3 other people join you on the screen (Think Brady Bunch intro) and can have real conversations with and in front of your (big) audience of followers.

    • Thanks man! It really is and I’m basically never satisfied with anything I write, hahah.

Art is abandoned, not finished, right?

I’ve never heard of Blab. Sounds interesting. I’ll check it out.

  • Fortuné Alexander

Ready for the next pod cast! Mad respect for what you’ve done with your business.

    • Thanks man. I appreciate the support!

The next one will be up Friday. Stay tuned. 🙂

  • Katie Winder

Closed Captioning, please? I would actually love to watch or maybe read what you have to say on how to have a career in fitness industry. I’m very interested to hear what you have to say!

    • I’ll check it out (not sure if I need transcription to offer–probably..).

  • Hey, Mike! Loved the podcast. You are very well spoken and sometimes very funny! But mostly I just wanna thank you for your integrity and honesty. You are a real dude which is the most important thing I think. Your authenticity and generosity sets a great example to kids and even ‘adults’ like me. Haha.

Some great advice here and I look forward to the next podcast! I have a passion for writing(I have a tennis blog) and fitness and health has always been a big part of my life, so I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

    • Thanks! I really appreciate all the kind words man. 🙂

Awesome. The Legion Q&A will be tomorrow’s podcast and then next week I’ll pick this back up and talk business building.

  • Jordan Gross

You have great content which is based on science rather than gimmicks and fads. As a sports dietitian, I appreciate you making health and wellness uncomplicated. Thanks and keep it up.

  • Hey Mike – Jonathan Goodman of the Personal Trainer Development Centre would be great to have on the podcast for an episode similar to this!

Just finished his book Viralnomics – definitely check it out.

    • Thanks for the reco Harry. I have his book on my list but I haven’t read it yet.

  • Becky Ramsay

Can you recommend some scientific reading on training, diet etc and sources? Tried to make a note of the names you mentioned as well but can’t quite catch them… 😰😰😰

    • Sure! You can see some books I recommend here:

      http://www.muscleforlife.com/recommendation/book-recommendations/

Lyle McDonald’s and Alan Aragon’s work are great too. Definitely worth checking out.

      LMK what you think!

      • Becky Ramsay

I’ve actually already read some of Lyle McDonald and Alan Aragon’s work. Brilliant articles. Lyle McDonald is a particular favourite. Although the amount of information can be a little overwhelming. Just working my way through and keep having to review the articles again to remind myself. I’ve also already ordered the other book recommendations. Are there other any scientific reading on body decomposition etc that you would recommend? Or are those the only ones that are helpful?

        • Yeah McD is a smart dude. I need to set some time aside to put together a proper “other resources” section of the site…
