What has happened so far on the program?

My experience on this program has been amazing in so many ways! First of all, I’ve gained so much knowledge regarding training and nutrition….the pieces of the puzzle I was missing! I have been working out for several years now and eating healthy; however, I wasn’t achieving my goals. This is very frustrating when you put in the time at the gym and make the sacrifices with diet and still do not attain your desired results. It’s also very confusing because there is so much conflicting information out there it’ll make your head spin!

As a result of the program, I gained lean muscle and tightened up very quickly. I also lost body fat especially in stubborn areas, which has always been so difficult for me. Training with heavier weights and lower reps along with the HIIT cardio allowed me to achieve very noticeable results in a short amount of time. I really love the short cardio sessions…not a fan of cardio! This program helped me gain confidence and it has been such a positive experience for me that I decided to start competing. I just had my first bikini competition and will be competing in a second show in 6 weeks! I do work with an online coach but I chose wisely to ensure that her principles were in line with what I learned from TLS (Thinner Leaner Stronger). For that reason, I am very grateful as my first experience competing was extremely positive and enjoyable! Unfortunately, it is very common for some coaches to make unhealthy and unnecessary recommendations to competitors. Had I not had the knowledge from this program, I may have been one of those competitors….or I may not have decided to compete in the first place!

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

Restricting calories and sticking to it long enough to lose fat is always the hardest part. I DO NOT like feeling hungry (who does?), but I’m glad that did not stop me from buying the book and committing to the program.  I felt satiated throughout the program even while cutting and my energy levels were always steady!

What do you like most about the program?

I LOVED the short cardio sessions and how I felt during fasted training sessions! It was so nice to be in and out of the gym yet see amazing, quick results! The program was definitely easier than I thought it would be and made me realize how much I had always over thought fitness and nutrition and made it more difficult than necessary!

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

This program has been easy for me to stick with because of the short cardio sessions! Seeing a plan that has an hour or two of cardio sessions in a day just puts a mental barrier up for me and makes me feel discouraged because I know I won’t follow through with it!  I also appreciated not wasting my money on useless supplements!

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

Following this program and achieving my goals has definitely helped to improve my confidence and believe in myself to make a commitment and follow through!

What are three other benefits of the program?

The things I like most about the Thinner Leaner Stronger approach is the flexible dieting, the training regimen (simple, yet intense), and the HIIT cardio. Flexible dieting is functional and sustainable. It’s something you can stick with long-term without horrible rebounds and feel like a normal human being.

And yes, it takes hard work and dedication to achieve your fitness goals, but it is so unnecessary to go through a grueling process to get there with a bland, boring diet! This drives me crazy when people in the fitness/nutrition industry tell you that’s the way it needs to be done!

I am so proud of myself and want to keep striving to make new improvements! I’ve really learned to LOVE THE PROCESS and commend myself when I make progress! And of course, it’s helped in all other areas of my life! I recommend this book to so many people and I just love the articles on MFL!
