What has happened so far on the program?

I’ve never lifted before and felt a bit overwhelmed by all the information at first, so I eased my way into it gently. I started out concentrating on getting comfortable with the exercises and just cut my calories, and once I’d got to grips with that, I adjusted my diet to make sure I was hitting my macros. Once I’d done that, I started to see progress almost immediately. I’ve lost 8kg (17lbs) so far, and although I’ve only been on a cut I’m making gains in strength in the gym and I’m beginning to see some muscle definition. My body fat is now below 20% and I’m delighted with the changes I am seeing in my body.

What do you like most about the program?

It’s achievable, realistic and easy to follow. You always know what training you should be doing and what you should be eating, which makes it much easier to motivate yourself to work hard, because you know that your efforts are going to pay off. And if you aren’t sure, the Muscle for Life website is a mine of useful information. If you’re still stuck, Mike is only an email away with inspiration, motivation and support.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

Nothing. I’d been going to a gym for about a month, but didn’t know what I was doing and knew I needed help. I went online and came across TLS (Thinner Leaner Stronger). I liked both what Mike was saying and his style of writing and knew he was someone I could get on board with.

What are three other benefits of the program?

I’ve been really surprised by how much my energy levels have improved. I don’t get tired the way I used to which makes coping with the demands of everyday life that much easier. My self confidence has improved. Not just because I think I look better, but because I’m achieving way above my expectations and it has made me realize that I can achieve in other areas too if I put my mind to it. TLS is a way of life and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.

Would you recommend this program? If so, why?

Absolutely. I feel great, I look better than I have in years, I’ve loads of energy and I’m much happier in myself. It doesn’t take up too much time so it’s been easy to fit into my life.
