How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?

November 2016: 28% body fat and 260 lb.

January 2018: 19% body fat and 205 lb.

What has happened so far on the program?

I started cutting in December of 2016 and dropped almost 3 pounds a week. I went from 260 down to 220 crazy fast. I stopped drinking alcohol and started counted calories. I’m in sales, so my selling was often around a meal or booze–socially it was a big change for me.

Once I hit 220 I really wanted to get strong. My bench and deadlift skyrocketed–185 on bench max to 285 and my deadlift from 200 to 410.

A major road block happened 6 months ago when my doctor discovered I have a degenerative left hip. I was born with it and always felt pain, but arthritis has now set in and it’s a constant issue.

They originally prescribed no deadlifts, squats, running, or repetitive or deep flexion because of my hip. It felt like a death sentence. I put on 10 lb almost right away because I completely cut those movements out.

After seeking further consulting, I decided to start incorporating HIIT on a stationary bike and modified my squat and deadlift. The results take longer but I’ve never been happier or more fit.

What workout split from the book did you use?

The 5-day split.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

Peer pressure. Everyone I know is either blue collar so they don’t need to work out or they do beachbody workouts which bore me to death.

What do you like most about the program?

It was simple, challenging, and gave me measurable results.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

Bigger Leaner Stronger had no BS or “secret sauce.” I absolutely love that Mike is all about the science behind things and never withholds information.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

My wife has said many a times that I am a better husband and father because I continue to do the program. I’m also more confident and less stressed!

Who would you recommend this program to and why?

I’ve recommended it to every guy or gal that has asked what I did to change!

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

So many fitness trends fail because people are looking for THE ONE THING to hold onto and make all their fitness dreams come true.

I respect Mike’s work so much because he’s not afraid to empower and enable people with knowledge. He reminds us that this isn’t some secret sauce. It’s about consistently putting in the work and eating right–if you do this the results last a lifetime.

Did you use any Legion supplements?

I used Phoenix–it’s legit!
