What has happened so far on the program?

These pictures represent my two months of cutting. The first photo was take in June 2015 at 200 lbs, the second is from August 2015 at 184lbs.

Overall since I bought Mikes books in November of 2012 I went from being roughly 150 lbs with no abs showing to now being 184lbs with abs showing.

All of my lifts have at least doubled since then. My Deadlift has almost tripled.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

I actually had trouble deciding at the time which fitness book to buy so I basically bought everything with good reviews on amazon.

What do you like most about the program?

It was easy to follow and had straight forward information backed up by actual research, not just “this worked for me” advice.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

I tried following workout plans of my favorite bodybuilders and each time I’ve had to stop due to either injury or excessive fatigue.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

I am actually a recovering drug addict. After several overdoses and suicide attempts I finally made the decision to turn my life around.

Working out has basically become my rehab program. It’s been a way for me to show the people in my life that I’m still moving forward every day and that they did the right thing standing by me even after everything I put them through.

I’ve been sober since January 5th 2012.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I recommend it to anyone who asks me for advice because not only did the books themselves help me but Mike has been extremely helpful taking the time to answer all of the random questions I’ve asked him over the years.

No one is a lost cause. Everyone has the ability to turn their lives around and achieve something they never thought was possible. It all starts with one good decision and a moment of courage.

If you want to change the world, change yourself first and give the world a reason to wish they were more like you.

Even nicer than looking at a cut gone right is reading how fitness can give someone’s life a new perspective, getting someone away from depression and addictions and the likes etc.

Wow, great transformation! How aggresive was his calorie deficit? 25% or more? Anyways, great!

Badass cut and great story, too.

Great Work!! an amazing turn around for sure, Mike’s books are a great approach to fitness as I am sure you well know, and he actually responds to all of our silly posts, I started a few years ago as a pre-diabetic and 250lbs. a year later I was 195 and my glucose issues were gone. Still maintaining and using his program to this day. Congratulations to you.

    • Thanks Dean! I’m happy to stay in touch. 🙂

Awesome job on the results you’ve gotten on my program!

Keep up the good work and keep me posted!

Sounds good Mike thanks for the tips. I assume reverse dieting for two weeks and then continue cutting? Or is that too short of a time frame?

      Kind regards!

Awesome transformation! Mike i wanna say that your book is really helpful and i really love your involvement with the community, thanks for that!

I’m also cutting since two weeks, the plan is to cut for 16 weeks. I used the calculator you posted in another article and used the 1.35 multiplier.

However it said that I have to eat 2100 calories for my 20% deficit with my BMR set on 1800. This leaves me a calorie range of only 300 calories before i hit my BMR. Which i think would mean that it is impossible for me to cut for 16 weeks with only 300 calories to drop.

What are your thoughts on this Mike? im currently at 17% bodyfat and 179 ibs.

p.s. (im not losing weight on 2200 calories)

    • Thanks! Glad to hear the books have helped you out! Happy to stay in touch. 🙂

      Cool you used the calculator.

300 cals is a good amount of room to adjust intake–don’t worry. Let’s just start with the cut at 2100 cals and see how it goes. If you end up at BMR and not losing 1-2 pounds a week you can reverse diet and then continue cutting.

      Thoughts?
