What has happened so far on the program?

I’m 32 years old and in 9 months using Mike’s book, I went from 220 pounds to 180 pounds, going from about 20% body fat to around 8% body fat.

My Bigger Leaner Stronger journey began with reading and understanding Bigger Leaner Stronger, where I learned the core principles of optimal training. Mike clearly communicates need-to-know physique building maxims including how to train, diet, and supplement correctly.

The amount of knowledge Mike packs into Bigger Leaner Stronger is impressive. I continue to set personal strength records week after week. I have never been as bigger, leaner & stronger.

I cut for 4 months and lost 40 pounds. Mike’s cutting recommendation (a 20% caloric deficit) was surprisingly manageable. The fat simply melted off.

I trained fasted throughout my cut and supplemented with Legion Forge and Phoenix (all-natural fat burners). These products worked well and accelerated my progress.

During my cut I read Bigger Leaner Stronger and discovered reverse dieting. Reverse dieting taught me how to slowly increase caloric intake, speeding up my metabolism without putting on any weight to speak of!

When I finished my cut I was eating 2000 calories/day. I am now finished with my reverse diet, enjoying 3200 calories/day and I am as lean as when I ended my cut. Reverse dieting requires a bit of patience, but it is well worth the investment.

Huge strength gains were made on all lifts. I am still amazed at the results. 🙂

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

I read Bigger Leaner Stronger and was instantly hooked. I could tell by Mike’s words and style that his guidance was genuine. The results are clear. I never looked back and recommend Bigger Leaner Stronger to those who want to know what worked for me.

 

What do you like most about the program?

What I like most about this program are its simplicity and effectiveness.  I travel 50% to 75% for work and was able to stay on track. This program is designed to maximize results with minimal effort.

 

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

I was a jock in high school (I played football, baseball, wrestling) and engaged in a good amount of weight training.

I was minimally trained along the lines of proper nutrition and training volume. My gains were small in comparison to what I’ve achieved with Bigger Leaner Stronger. Because of Bigger Leaner Stronger I’m in the best shape of my life at age 32.

The Bigger Leaner Stronger “diet” is flexible and easy. If you don’t think “dieting” and “easy” belong in the same sentence I understand. Would you believe me if I told you I eat brownies and ice cream before I go to bed? It’s true.

Bigger Leaner Stronger’s flexible dieting approach enables me to eat what I like as long as I hit my macros. For me, this makes dieting more enjoyable. Bigger Leaner Stronger taught me how to cut and maintain weight with ease.

Bigger Leaner Stronger workouts are shorter and easier compared to the way I used to train. I now train 5 days per week for about 45 minutes a day. A mere 3.75 hours of weight training per week! This program is a breeze compared to former routines. Bigger Leaner Stronger saved me time, energy and optimized my results.

 

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

I am in the best shape of my life; which has no doubt influenced my life in other ways. I need less sleep (I used to need 8 hours, now 6 is enough). My energy levels are through the roof.

I enjoy an unprecedented level of mental clarity. Everyday life stresses now pale in comparison to the past. The rate at which I complete tasks has improved.

I’ve learned a lot about nutrition and how to cook affordable, filling/low calorie, and tasty meals. I recommend Mike’s book The Shredded Chef. I have never received more compliments on my physique. Thanks Mike!

 

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to become more successful in life, be healthier or improve their appearance.

The principles of building a physique (i.e. building a routine, discipline, mental toughness) can be reapplied to achieve goals in other areas of life.

I use Legion Supplements because they’re effective and taste great.  I’m currently using Pulse, Whey+, Recharge, and Fortify.  I used Phoenix and Forge during my cut and reverse diet.
