Three months of work went into my transformation. I entered a 12-week transformation contest through a large online fitness retailer and used the training principles from Bigger Leaner Stronger.
When I started my weight was 202.8 pounds and around 15% body fat.
After completing the contest I was down to 183 pounds and 8% body fat.
I lost 20 pounds overall and continued to increase weight in the gym.
I used a 5-day push\pull\legs split.
I’m usually a little apprehensive about buying fitness books or other material. After reading reviews I finally bought Bigger Leaner Stronger. Glad I did.
I used to workout a lot when I was younger so I knew I could eventually get back to that condition. It was surprising how quickly I got back into such great conditioning, though! I’m in better shape now than when I was a teenager!
The diet was the biggest difference for me. I followed guidelines from the book on nutrition and was surprised I could still eat things I normally ate–I just had to put some effort into planning my meals!
My confidence has gone up in everything! I’m not apprehensive about trying things now or lacking confidence in my new-ish career.
I’d recommend this to anyone. Especially if you have trouble sticking with something. Get a coach and trust the process. It will happen if you work hard.
