How many months’ progress do your pictures represent? What were your stats for each picture?

They represent 42 months (3.5 years).

Before: 145 lb at around 15% body fat.

After: 180 lb at around 10-12% body fat.

What has happened so far on the program?

Normally I’ve tried to bulk from September to April each year then cut for the summer months. The after picture is mid bulk. I like to be around 6-7% summer time.

I don’t reverse diet as cutting is the easy part for me and I have a hard time bulking. I’ve gained about 30 pounds of muscle eating 4000+ cals per day. However, now I find that I have to eat more–around 4800 calories per day. Eating so much food is the hard part for me!

Strength across all my lifts have doubled. Bench is now at 245 lb, squat is at 405 lb, deadlift is at 500 lb, and military press is at 170 lb.

What workout split from the book did you use?

I’ve switched it up depending on what my schedule is like. I’ve done 3, 4, 5, and 6 day splits to hit weak points.

Mostly body part splits following the push, pull, and lower structure. Currently doing a hinge, push, squat, pull, and carry split.

What, if anything, almost kept you from buying the book or starting the program?

Nothing. I loved how Mike always provided science-backed info. After reading his articles, it wasn’t long before I bought all 3 of his books!

And the fact that Legion won’t make a BCAA supplement is a sign that I know the company is not in it just for the $$$.

What do you like most about the program?

I just love working with lower rep ranges! Having ADD, I get bored really quickly working in the higher rep ranges 😂.

How does this program compare with others you’ve tried?

I really like this program because it’s meant for the natural athlete. It gives you increased strength and it gives you a physique you can be proud of.

I have done other programs but they were for enhanced athletes–you just don’t make the same kind of progress as you would following Bigger Leaner Stronger.

How has what you’ve achieved with your body changed other areas of your life?

I have more energy since I’ve been eating nutritious whole foods. I’m getting ready to quit my job as I’ve gained a fair amount of knowledge from Mike’s books and articles.

I was able to start my own meal prep company and I’m opening our second location within the first year of being in business. So I’m 1000% happier because of what I’ve learned from Mike!

Who would you recommend this program to and why?

I would recommend this program to any natural athlete who wants to increase strength along with building a great physique.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

I love the format of Beyond Bigger Leaner Stronger and use it on most of my training cycles. I also build all my client’s programs based on the Bigger Leaner Stronger format.

Did you use any Legion supplements?

Pulse, Recharge, and Triton! Soon going to start using Genesis as well.
