  • Daniel Brown

Great podcast as always Mike! I love it whenever two fitness pros I follow link up and have chats like these. They’re always so informative!

One thing that Mike Vacanti mentioned about training Gary really resonated with me. I feel a million times more energized and productive on any day I can get some kind of physical activity in, even if it’s just light LISS cardio while reading. I just recently started doing the 5-day BLS split and I’m loving the workouts so far!

My main question however is: since I have time and enjoy working out everyday, would it make sense to keep the same weekly volume, but do a 7-day split? (such as having 2 calves&abs days and taking those routines off the other days)

I know recovery is important, but since I’m not upping the weekly volume and I get activity in on my rest days anyways, I don’t think it would be an issue. And since it would make each of my daily workouts shorter, that seems like a plus. Has anyone tried this approach to BLS successfully?

    Thanks again as always!

    • Thanks Daniel! I’m glad you liked it.

Yup–ANY exercise you can do makes such a difference. It’s the easiest way to make everything in life more enjoyable, really.

Yeah you could do that if you’re not cutting. If you’re cutting, you might start to feel run down.
