I worked out in running shoes for the longest time and a few months ago, I decided to make the switch to a shoe better suited to lifting–that is, one that had a thin, flat sole, which improves stability during exercises like Squats, Deadlifts, Standing Presses, and so forth.
I settled on the New Balance MX20v3 Minimus Training Shoe because it’s light, versatile, high quality, comfortable, and not too expensive. I ended up liking them so much that I now wear them around everywhere. They make a women’s version, so that’s what I recommend!
After over five months of wearing these shoes basically every day for most of the day, and even wearing them for my weekly table tennis lessons which involve a ton of moving about (don’t knock it ’till you’ve tried it), they show little signs of wear and have no tearing.
These are a great buy.
