This podcast was very informative. Sometimes the methods to measure body fat confused me trying to figure out which one was best. The takeaway was as long as it’s going down then you ARE making progress.

    Hey Mike,

What do you think about this and slowing metabolism? Its a depressing article!

    • Yep, seent this! It makes sense. Your metabolism will slow down after being in a deficit for an extended period of time. Especially with the crash diets they do on that show. That’s why I always recommend a proper RD after being in a deficit:

Great Podcast! Very informative. I really like the idea of that class you discussed at the end and the mixing things up to get the right kinda and amount of nutrients. I look forward to that release! Keep up the good work, it’s greatly appreciated.

    • Thanks, Matt. Glad you like the idea! I’m working on the content now. 🙂

Will do! Thanks for the kind words and support. Talk soon.

Awesome Podcast Michael! I purchased Bigger Leaner Stronger recently and have a questions about the TDEE formula. @160 lbs and 10% BF my TDEE is 2,675 calories but my bulk calculation comes in at 2,496 calories. Should I start my bulk at my TDEE or should I start at my lower bulk calculation? Thanks Michael!

  • Bryan

Just out of curiosity in regards to the Accumeasure caliper. Why does age matter in regards to BF% on the skinfold mm to BF% chart that is included? i.e. Why does someone at 21 years old have 11.6% BF and someone at 31 have 13.7% BF if they both measure the same 10-11mm?

    • You know I’m not sure but if you reach out to the company they may be able to share the logic behind their equations.
