  • The 5 biggest fat loss myths & mistakes that keep women overweight, disappointed, and confused. (These BS lies are pushed by all the big magazines and even by many trainers.)
  • An all-in-one training system that delivers MAXIMUM results for your efforts…spending no more than 3 to 6 hours in the gym every week…doing workouts that energize you, not wipe you out.
  • A no-BS guide to supplements that will save you hundreds if not THOUSANDS of dollars each year that you would’ve wasted on products that are nothing more than bunk science and marketing hype.

  • Mari Mekko

I am 20 yer old girl. 167cm body fat maybe 22% 68kg. I was feeling fat cells on my stomach and 1500kcal diet was working slow so i decited to go 1200kcal (mfp track w/ food scale). First day went bed hungry. Next couple of days i binged over the kcals with sugar cereals. Next day from that I decited to do fasted exercise with only coffee/greentea in my system. I did gym and hiit running with 11 mph and every 4 min 14mph. I was breathing heavy after it and went home to eat. During the rest of the day I ate carb heavy( no keto) with vegetables, potato, pea soup, bread, procuttio, quark and sauces. But i was somehow feeling my fat cells shrinking and inches going. I also didnt feel hungry when going to bed even though cals were low. So the next morning went straight to scale and lost 0,2kg! Did the same routine and lost again 0,2kg. After third fasted workout I lost 0,4 and the scale showed 66,9 and did the routine again and can do with same weights as before.
Is this safe way of losing or is my body going to starvation mode but i feel full till bed time. My goal is 65kg or low stomach bodyfat level with soft definition so I was planning to go on till my goals are fulfilled.
How many days and weeks in a row can this be done? How can it drop so fast will it slow down is this normal?

    • This is pretty chaotic, haha. You can yo-yo your calories if you like but I’d recommend a steady daily intake. It’s less stressful.

  • Alexander Mitov

Hey Mike, Have you seen the interesting debate about optimal protein intake between Eric Helms and Menno Henselmans?
You can google “eric helms & protein: a research review” and find it.
Do you have a formed opinion on it?

    • Yeah. Smart guys and interesting discussion but it all boils down to…0.8 to 1 g/lb is fine for most people and if you’re lean wanting to get really lean, you can probably benefit from slightly more.

  • Storm

  • Chris Sharp

Enjoyed the podcast and listening to another person’s success story. If the 5 months time frame is correct that part seems hard to believe. However anything is possible. Definitely more podcasts like this and other guests like the ones with Mark and Layne. I usually download all your podcasts and listen while running or at work.

    • Happy to hear it! With proper training and dieting, it is definitely possible.

I plan on doing more of these ones and more with other fitness guys too so stay tuned. 🙂
